Griselinia littoralis

Griselinia littoralis, or New Zealand broadleaf, is a fast-growing, large evergreen shrub with light green, broadly oval leaves. Very small yellow-green flowers are followed by purple fruits on female plants, where both sexes are grown together. Ideal for an evergreen hedge, or as a stand alone shrub.

Height 4–8 metres, spread 2.5–4 metres in 10-20 years.

Tolerates most soils, prefers full sun, ideally in a south or west facing aspect and an exposed or sheltered position.
