Alnus cordata

£54.95

Alnus cordata, or Italian Alder, is native to Southern Italy and Greece is a fast-growing deciduous tree. However, it often holds onto leaves until December, making it a good screening tree away from buildings. Yellow catkins are produced in the spring and its leaves eventually turn yellow before they fall in the late autumn. Female catkins develop into small woody cones which remain on the tree through winter
